Out of concern for the continuity of the comprehensive development witnessed by King Abdul Aziz University in all areas, and in line with the growing interest in the Faculty of Economics and Management, the continued development of all academic departments, and to meet the needs of the Saudi health sector requirement of professionally qualified talent in the field of "health services and hospitals administrations." Accordingly, as per the agreement of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Prime Minister and Chairman of the Board of Higher Education – God's protection – guidance wire decent no. 2544 / m.b 19/3/1430 and the date of his approval of the conversion (the health services and hospitals administration track, as part of the Department of Public Administration) to the scientific department (Health Services and Hospitals Administration Department), at the Faculty of Economics and Administration. This Department cares about this field and its development, as the specialty "Health Services and Hospitals Administrations." The disciplines known worldwide, especially in developed countries for health has recognized by many countries that the problems and issues related to the health sector effectiveness and efficiency and equity related to health management of hospitals, and can be dealt with by focusing on this area. Many countries began to give increasing attention to the health department and specialty hospitals to provide administrative cadres qualified and trained to deal with issues and problems of the taxpayer and the health sector is becoming an important one. This is the first Department of its kind in the Saudi universities,
 

Vision:

Administration Section is seeking health services and hospitals to achieve leadership in science, majoring in management of health services and hospitals in the Middle East.
 

Mission:

A beacon of educational excellence in management of health services and hospitals.

Objectives of the Department:

• Meet the needs of the Saudi health sector, both private and public needs with the skills of qualified staff with appropriate scope and practice in the specialty "Health Services and Hospitals Administration."
• Development of Management set up related to occupational health specialists to deal with issues and problems related to the health sector effectiveness and efficiency, justice and appropriate quality.
• To provide students with the knowledge and skills, intellectual and human and technical resources required for the management and operation of various health facilities effectively and efficiently with the highest levels of professionalism.
• Increase contributions from members of the faculty and staff and students to promote the Saudi health sector and develop and achieve its objectives at the local national and regional levels.
• Preparation of graduates to pursue post-graduate studies in the management s of health services and hospitals to achieve self-sufficiency in the functions of faculty members in this category.
• Contribute to improving the performance of national health workers through training and continuing education.
• Work to increase the proportion of administrative posts in health facilities and hospitals by qualified staff from the programs of the Department.
• Develop the areas of health research and contribute to the provision of research activities on the management of health services.
